Suzume no Tojimari (すずめの戸締まり, "Suzume's Locking-Up") is a Japanese animated film produced by CoMix Wave Films and written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. The story is about Suzume, a 17-year-old girl who lives in Kyushu that discovers a door with a young man. Upon opening the door, more doors appear across Japan, bringing disasters and bad luck. The film is a journey through Japan to lock the "Doors of Disaster" as well as an adventure and battle in the modern world in search of a girl's maturity and freedom.
