A Ballad of Stars and Sand (Russian: «Балла́да о Зве́здах и Песке́») is a series of fantasy novels written by the Russian author Wladislava Vishnevskaya (Russian: Владисла́ва Вишне́вская). The plot tells about the adventures of Ayhlinne, a siren who grew up in an orphanage, Knyazhna Melluria, an infeera from the mighty Flargia family, and Prince Antares, the future ruler of the kingdom of Aradavia. Ayhlinne's world is on the verge of death: pain, despair and bitterness reign everywhere destroying everything in their path. The hope is lost, and it seems tomorrow will never come. But in this lamentable time, one simple truth should not be forgotten: even when the darkness descends, when the storm rages around and the flame sings its ruinious song, the guiding star will lead everyone to the light.
