He is quick and clever with a sharp wit. He loves to tell bad jokes and even better ones at his friends' expense.[4] Declan likes to drink, which he feels makes him more fun, but he can be quite irresponsible and drunkard at times, which often causes trouble for other people. He also has a fondness for dying things, as evidenced by his taming of a dragon and his tendency to kill many of his enemies in battle. Declan does not like to commit himself to things, preferring to take the easy way out.
