Fujisaki was born in Chiba, Japan, and studied economics at Waseda University in Tokyo. After graduating, he went on to work at the Japanese government and in banking. He began his career with Toho in 1971 and was involved with various projects in the 1980s and 1990s, such as "Kraken" and "Barbarella". He also worked on the television series "Vampire Hunter D". He directed his first film, "Super Ninja-Kun: The Movie" in 2001. In 2008, he directed the anime film "Claymore", based on the manga series of the same name.
In 2008, Fujisaki directed "Claymore" based on the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Norihiro Yagi. The film was produced by Toho and premiered in Japan on August 23, 2008.
