"They may be reserved, quiet, and they'll often withdraw, they'll often just not interact with others," she says. "So they don't necessarily seem as socially engaging. They're more introverted, more little-known."
Caputo says INFJ individuals are very empathetic and can feel a strong sense of responsibility for people who are in need. INFJs may notice if someone is struggling or in pain and take it upon themselves to help.
"The INFJ is kind of the type that sets aside their own needs so that they can help others," she says. "And that's their primary focus."
But INFJs can also be very private, waiting for the right moment to share their feelings.
