He has served as a delegate to several state conventions. He was also a leader of Seattle's Hellenic community, the oldest and the only Hellenic community outside of Greece.
He is a recipient of a Seattle Central Labor Council Award for his work with immigrants, people of color, and the unemployed. He has served on multiple committees of the Washington State Democratic Party, including that of the Puget Sound District. He has been a supporter of ethnic minority candidates, as well as progressive candidates of all stripes.
