Wilfred (Fred, Thea, etc.) is the main character in the American television series Wilfred, which premiered on FX on June 24, 2011. The series was created by Jason Gann. The series revolves around Wilfred (Matt Servito), a young man who discovers that his neighbor's dog is actually a man in a dog suit. While trying to help his neighbor's dog get clean, Wilfred learns to communicate better with his neighbors, and he also finds out that he has a psychic bond with the man in the suit. The series has spawned two spin-offs: the Australian comedy series Being Human and the British comedy series Misfits.
