Rei Yasaku "Kurei" personality type is ISTP, and I do not want to use MBTI to further my own intellectual development, but rather to understand the types which I interact with, and which I can use to make myself a more efficient leader.
I've seen many ISTPs (or those who claim to be ISTPs) lying about their type and deliberately trying to be NTs in the hopes of fitting in with the community. I've also seen NTs who are trying to pretend they are ISTPs in order to get more respect. This is not a healthy dynamic.
The problem is that ISTP is an uncomfortable and sometimes unfriendly combination of personality types. As an ISTP, you have strong intuition, are independent and creative, and have a strong dislike for structure and rules. However, you are also prone to being reckless with your emotions, and you can be very poor at reading people's intentions, especially those which are contradictory or confusing. You also have a tendency to be very blunt and honest, which can make you seem harsh at times.
