Tom personality type is ISFP, which means he is MORE of an introvert than an extrovert. If you had asked me about him before I knew him, I would’ve said he is more of an ESTP. He is very socially awkward, but he is very extroverted in his own way.
AND….he is EXTREMELY sensitive. For instance, just the other day he told me his feelings were hurt when I did not talk to him about something that happened to him that day. I was trying to figure out what happened at work that day, and he kept telling me stories and information about what was going on and suddenly I realized, “I’m not talking to him.” Why? He is so sensitive and so “into” things that it hurts him when we don’t talk about things. I realized this and we talked about it and I apologized. He was so happy that I realized how much it bothered him that I didn’t talk to him about it!!
I’m sure many of you have met or worked with an ISFP. They are often quiet and reserved, but very socially skilled and loyal.
