I've been the target of a few people who think that I am trying to claim that Bashir and Sisko are the same person, when I have said nothing of the sort. In fact, I think that the Bashir character is an ENFP (or possibly NF). He has the typical ENFP enthusiasm, but also has a surprising amount of introversion. If he were an ENFP, he would be an ideal match for Kira Nerys. His strength is his ability to make sense of complex information. (e.g. "last night's data indicates that the wormhole may be unstable.")
But then there's Sisko, who is an INTJ. His weakness is his inability to deal with complexity. (e.g. "the wormhole has been closed, and we are no longer in danger.") The descriptions of these two characters are nearly identical.
