And I think that the more I learn about the Enlightenment, the more I’m convinced that there is something to be said for it.
I’ve written about the French Revolution, about the Enlightenment, about Napoleon, and I’ve written about American history, but I had never actually talked about it. Until now, that is.
It’s really kind of interesting to look at the Enlightenment through the lens of my own personal experience with it. And, if anything, I think it’s even more interesting to talk about what the Enlightenment means for writers.
