I’ll be the first to admit that I struggled with my INFJ personality type for years. I felt broken, like I wasn’t capable of making decisions or leading my life. I was always stuck in the shadow of my mother, who was an INFj (my father was an ENTp). Both of my parents were deeply INFPs, but they were more interested in listening to their intuition than trying to guide it.
As a result, I developed an unhealthy relationship with my own intuition. I was afraid of what it would tell me, and I developed a strong sense of duty to my family and society. I did what I thought was right, but there was always hidden guilt there, because I knew I wasn’t being true to myself.
I wasn’t able to explore my own intuition, because I wasn’t allowed to have my own experiences.
