Alfred Fouillée was born on March 8, 1926 in Lausanne, Switzerland. His full name was Alfred Fouillée. He was the son of Jean Fouillée, a renowned dermatologist.
Alfred Fouillée graduated from the University of Lausanne in 1942 with a degree in medicine. After he graduated, he was drafted into the Swiss army, but after being discharged from it, he spent five years in the Swiss navy.
After he finished his navy service, he decided to enroll at the University of Geneva to study medicine. During his studies, he received his doctorate in medicine in 1951.
After he graduated from the University of Geneva with a doctorate degree in medicine, Fouillée then applied for a position with the Swiss military. He was accepted into their medical corps. However, he was discharged from it because of his weak eyesight.
Instead, Fouillée decided to enroll at the University of Geneva to study medicine. Then, during his studies there, he received his doctorate in medicine in 1951.
Alfred Fouillée, born on 18th October 1838 in La Pouëze (Maine-et-Loire) and died on 16th July 1912 [1] in Lyon, is a French philosopher.
He is the author of a civil law adage: "He who says contractual, says right" and is at the origin of the metaphysical notion of "idée-force".
