André Jacob (born 1921) is a French philosopher. Professor at the University of Paris-X-Nanterre from 1966 to 1990, he was notably in charge of writing the Encyclopédie philosophique universelle.
André Jacob has a degree in philosophy. He defended his doctoral thesis in 1967, entitled Temps et langage: essai sur les structures du sujet parlant [1]. He was professor of ethics and philosophy of language at the University of Paris-X-Nanterre from 1966 to 1990. In particular, he directed the writing of the Encyclopédie philosophique universelle (4 volumes, 6 volumes, 12,580 pages) [2], [3].
