Gerald personality type is ESTP, as defined by Jung. The world as a man sees it is not a hostile place. For him, the world is a place of adventures and possibilities, a place of limitless possibilities. The world is a place of joy and excitement. For a woman, the world is a place of limitations and restrictions, a place of violence and danger. A man's world is a place of creativity and inventiveness. For women, the world is a place of manipulation and control. The world is experienced differently by each individual, of course, but that is what Jung was referring to.
What Jung defined as the ESTP type was meant to be an ideal type, meaning that it should convey some general characteristics which could be found in all ESTP types, regardless of their individual differences. The definition was meant to encompass all types of ESTP (extroverted, sensing, thinking, perceiving) who are not neurotic (i.e., not mentally sick). Neurotic types are not included in Jung's idealized ESTP type. Neurotics are people who are unstable emotionally, who are prone to anxiety and fear, who are easily upset and distressed by minor events. People who are neurotic are not ideal types.
