In fact, the first MBTI test was created in 1936 by Isabel Briggs Myers, who made it based on her own research into Jungian psychology. She created the test and gave it to a friend to test her staff of counselors. The counselor was an ESFJ and she loved it. She took it to clients and their feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Myers decided to publish it based on the feedback and it became a best seller.
