I have observed the ‘Eiffel Tower’ effect in my own life. When I was in my early 20s, I had a couple of intense relationships with ENTPs.
I would have to lie to them, keep them at arm’s length, and eventually break it off. They would get furious, and start hanging around, trying to get back together again. It was exhausting.
As an ENFP myself, I would often get caught in the crossfire. And it really sucked.
Why? ENTPs are very objective, logical types. They are not very good at emotional intelligence or emotional reading. And they are often quite blunt.
Over time I realised that I am not good at handling the ENTP’s rudeness.
I was not of sound mind when I moved to Germany for a year. I was not in the right place in my life to be with an ENTP, who was not of sound mind.
And I wanted to be in a serious relationship.
