Grayson was a stereotypical young man when it came to dating and relationships, mainly because he was a prime example of the phrase "if at first you don't succeed try, try again." He was known to be very close to his family, especially his older sister, and was very devoted to them. He was also very close with his friends, including John Sheppard and Rodney McKay. This made him very persistent when pursuing a relationship, often to the point where it was unhealthy. He preferred to keep his feelings towards his friends close to himself, though he did not hesitate to express his love for them. He also appeared to be a very kind person and one of the few people who could get away with calling John Sheppard a "silly boy" without getting into serious trouble.
