The only time he gets angry in the book is when the things he cares about are threatened.
The most important thing to remember when reading the book is that the TV show is not a documentary, it’s a work of fiction. The author has constructed the story based on his own ideas and interpretation of the facts; there may be some things that are not true to reality. For example, in the book, Cal Trask was never a child prodigy, he didn’t go to college in California, and he didn’t meet Felicia on a blind date after he got out of prison.
But there are enough facts that the story is based on the real Cal Trask in order to make it interesting and enjoyable. I enjoyed this book and if you are a big fan of the TV show, then you will enjoy reading it as well.
