Thorvardur "Tóti" Jónsson personality type is ENFP, is the son of Jón Thoroddur Jónsson , who was a leader of the Icelandic independence movement in the late 19th century, and was one of the founders of the Icelandic National Association in 1874. He was also a prominent member of the Icelandic Writers' Union in the 1880s. He was also a member of the Reykjavík City Council from 1915 to 1937. His brother Halldor Thoroddur Jónsson was also a prominent lawyer in Iceland. Tóti Thoroddur Jónsson was the father-in-law of the poet Jón Aðalsteinn Birgisson , and also served as his godfather.
Born in Reykjavík in 1898, Thorvardur studied law in Copenhagen and later worked as a journalist, before joining the Icelandic Independence Movement in 1918, where he worked with his brother Halldor Thoroddur Jónsson . Following the independence of Iceland, he became an editor at the National Press Publishing Company (Nefndaháskólið). He was also a member of the Reykjavík City Council from 1915 to 1937, and was elected to Parliament for Reykjavík in 1928.
