Pumuckl is a character from the fairy tale "The Pumuckl." The story tells of a little creature who is afraid of his own shadow. He lives alone in a forest, and he only has a little piece of bread for his dinner. One night, a huge wolf comes to the forest where Pumuckl lives. He eats the little piece of bread that Pumuckl had for his dinner, but he does not get any of the meat Pumuckl had for his supper. The next day, the wolf comes to the forest again. This time, he eats all of Pumuckl's meat. This happens for a few nights and then one night the wolf comes again and eats the last bit of Pumuckl's bread.

This story is told to children to teach them that we should be careful when we go to bed and we should keep something for our supper because we never know what could happen when we are sleeping.

This is an excellent example of how an INFJ may use their cognitive functions in a pessimistic way.

Pumuckl is a Kobold from a German radio play series for children. He is a descendant of the Klabautermänner. He is invisible to people around him except for the master carpenter Eder with whom Pumuckl lives. Pumuckl was invented by Ellis Kaut for a radio play series of the Bavarian Radio in 1961. Later on it was turned into a very successful TV series. Three movies and a musical also deal with the adventures of the little kobold. Pumuckl is one of the most popular characters in children's entertainment in Germany and several generations have now grown up with the cheeky but funny little Kobold.
