Lyman personality type is ESTP, but it is best to describe is as an ESFP, which would also be the best description for an INTP. ESTP's are not as intense as INTP's but they are quicker to develop new goals and goals that interest them. They are very goal oriented, but do not have the same classic conceptualizing of goals associated with INTP's, but usually have a specific goal that is more concrete. ESTPs are generally very good at recognizing opportunities and are often the first to move on to experimentation or new ideas. ESTPs are very good at conceptualizing skills. ESFP's are more creative than INTP's, but their creative thinking is less focused on abstract ideas, and tends to be more concrete. They are very good at identifying opportunities, but are not as good at developing new ideas. ESFPs are excellent at learning skills, but they do not have the same focus or intensity that INTP's have on developing new skills. ESTP's are less focused on abstract concepts. ESFP's are more focused on the present moment, while INTP's are more focused on the future.
