Merengue personality type is INFJ, so it's not surprising that I'm so quiet and introverted. It's also not surprising that I'm so down on myself and that I get horribly depressed. I don't think this is normal though, and I know everyone is different, but I get more self-loathing than happiness. (and I get happy but it's more like "well, this is how my life is, and I can get through it" than "this is awesome and I love it!")
I've been trying to get out of my rut of depression, but it's harder than I expected. I've started therapy (I am very particular about my therapists and they've been great) and ask for help with chores, and am trying to get involved in things at my school. But I'm still depressed. It's hard to be happy when everything is so hard.
I've never told anyone this before, because I have a hard time talking about it. It's not something I talk about often or openly with friends or family. I've never told anyone about being depressed before.
But now that it's out in the open, I feel better about myself.
