I'm not actually an INFJ, but I have a lot of the traits, so I feel like I can speak from experience :)

In my own experience, INFJs tend to experience their feelings a little more intensely than INFJs do in general. INFJs seem to be continually comparing themselves to others and feeling inferior or superior to others. This can be a bit disconcerting, as well as exhausting.
This can also be a bit confusing and even embarrassing, if you're not an INFJ, but one of your parents is.
Let's say you have an INFJ parent, who has all of these "eccentric" qualities, and who by all rights should be an INFJ. But because they aren't INFJ, they hate their own INFJ traits. They try to hide them, or they try to make them go away. This can cause some pretty serious shame for the INFJ child, and is often confusing for the INFJ child themselves.
