Stitches personality type is ENFP, which makes sense since they’re so spontaneous and unpredictable. I’m not saying her whole thing is one big joke, but I think it takes a special kind of person to take such an approach.
That said, I think the show has definitely earned some criticism for its lack of attention to Lee’s actual character. Her sudden decision to return to Seoul and throw herself into the spotlight after a year and a half away was shocking and confusing. She had no business taking off like that and no real reason to feel the need to go back there, other than the fact that she wanted to be closer to her family. It was a complete about-face, but it made sense in the end.
Lee is close to her family, but she’s also very close with her friends in Seoul. When she realized that her life there was over, she jumped at the chance to go back, but she didn’t do it out of spite or because she didn’t want to stay in Korea. She did it because it would make her life easier in many ways.
