Dom personality type is ISTP, and that's a great start, but there was still more to go. I tried to do a bit of digging on the internet, and couldn't find anything about the ISTP that matched my personality. Most of what I found was about the ISTP's reputation as "The Artisan" or as "The Architect" - both of which are great for an individual who is, but really not for me. Then I found a "PhD ISTP" personality diagram, which described my type (I'm an INFP) pretty well. Now I feel like I'm starting to get somewhere.
So, after all this (and much more), I would like to point out one thing. The INFP is not the ISTP's "opposite" or "antithesis". The INFP is not "inverted" or "reversed" in any way. Both types have their strengths and weaknesses, but they are also different in many ways. This is not just a matter of being "inverted", but rather in the way that we view the world, our cognitive functions and our feelings.
