Learning and Growth – My Process of Learning and Growth
While growing up, I was always more interested in school than I was interested in sports. Since sports were never my thing, I decided to pursue a career path that was more academic than physical. Eventually, I decided on a career of becoming a teacher of English as a foreign language.
For the first years of my career, I was very good at teaching and enjoyed it. One of my first students was a high school student from Taiwan who had just moved to the U.S. and was on a one-year exchange program to study English. He was very young and naive, but we bonded over our love for Mark Twain and we became friends very quickly.
However, as time went on, I began to realize that I had no passion for teaching English as a foreign language.
