Brighid personality type is ISTJ, which is one of the four functions of the cognitive-perceptive-sensing temperament. Brighid is an epithet used by Celtic goddesses, rooted in the Irish goddess Brighid.

According to the Encyclopedia Mythica, "Brighid was the daughter of the Dagda (or Dagdha), one of the Tuatha Dé Danann. She was also known as Breg (pronounced Breed) and was the patron goddess of healing. She is sometimes depicted holding a torch or a sickle. She was particularly concerned with the preservation of knowledge, particularly herbal lore. Her festival, called Brighid's Fire, was celebrated in March."

According to Valerie Watson, "Brighid was associated with wells, springs, rivers, lakes, and streams; with cattle; with fire; and with agriculture." She is associated with fertility, childbirth, and all feminine mysteries. Brighid "is associated with the element of fire in water and with the element of water in fire."

Brighid is also associated with crossroads, entrances, parting of paths, death, rebirth, and prophecy. She is associated with the moon and with the seasons.

Brigid, Brigit or Bríg is a goddess of pre-Christian Ireland. She appears in Irish mythology as a member of the Tuatha Dé Danann, the daughter of the Dagda and wife of Bres, with whom she had a son named Ruadán. She is associated with wisdom, poetry, healing, protection, blacksmithing and domesticated animals. Cormac's Glossary, written in the 9th century by Christian monks, says that Brigid was "the goddess whom poets adored" and that she had two sisters: Brigid the healer and Brigid the smith. This suggests she may have been a triple deity. She is not related to a British goddess at the time of the Roman occupation, Brigantia, a personification of the hegemony of the Brigantes tribe of Northern England, but is sometimes associated with her due to the similarity in names. Saint Brigid shares many of the goddess's attributes and her feast day, 1 February, was originally a pagan festival marking the beginning of spring.
