In 2009 she started working on a new album. In 2012 she was commissioned to write a song for a children's TV show on the BBC called "Sing and Dance". The song was written and recorded for the show's Christmas special featuring children from all over the United Kingdom. The song, titled "This Christmas", was released in December 2012.
In 2012 she also published her first children's book, "The Secret Garden".
