Boska is the youngest of five children. Her father, who worked in the printing industry, was a model for her in kindergarten. "I always knew I wanted to be an artist," she says. "I used to draw all the time."
"I went to a small, private school," she says, based in Bratislava. "There were only 50-some students in my grade — about 30 in my class — and we were all in the same class, with French and English."
After high school, Boska attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. "It's very demanding," she says. "There was a lot of drawing and I did lots of painting."
After graduating, she entered the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, where she studied under Vera Schmidová and Josef Koudelka.
"Vera Schmidová was a professor of my generation," Boska said. "She was a great influence on me.
