Mr. Fitzpatrick was raised by his grandmother, who raised him to respect the family business, the Fitzpatrick’s Spinning Company. Mr. Fitzpatrick was always very close to his brother, who wanted to be an architect, but Mr. Fitzpatrick wanted to be a lawyer. Mr. Fitzpatrick went to law school at Yale, but after one year he decided that he didn’t like it and dropped out. He went to work for his father at the Spinning Company and was very happy there until he married Elizabeth, who he later divorced. He then decided that he wanted to open his own law firm and that is what he did, but he was unhappy and finally dedicated himself to his career.
