In this film, Chauncey was voiced by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He is portrayed as an archetypal selfless protector of the children, willing to lay his own life on the line to save them. When Chauncey first wakes up in the Spirit World, he is oblivious to his surroundings and approaches the group of children with a warm smile, which frightens some of the children. Chauncey then begins to explain that if they can't find the Guardians, then they may never be able to return to the real world. This prompts Jack Frost to volunteer to help them find the Guardians. As they make their way back to the Temple of the Moon, Chauncey advises Jack to not be careless with his powers. He then encourages Jack to make sure that he won't be seen by the Stare. He is shown to be extremely worried about how the children will act when they see him. He also tries to warn Jack against interacting with Jack Frost, as he is already risking Jack's life by bringing them into their world.
