Eve Vlaardingerbroek: I was born in 1978 and grew up in California and Texas. I graduated from Stanford University in 2000 with both a B.A. and a B.S. in genetics and molecular and cell biology and a Ph.D. in genetics from MIT in 2004. My thesis advisor was Eric Lander, currently Director of the Broad Institute at MIT and formerly Director of the Center for Genome Research at MIT, and now at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies.
