Theresa May personality type is ISTJ, the "stern guardian". She is not a very happy person, but she is a good leader. She has good vision for what needs to be done, but she is not necessarily willing to do it. And that is why she has been unable to form any workable government, because there are very few people in the country who will say "Well, let's give her a chance." She is not here to work with the opposition, she is here to create a government.
We have not had an ISTJ Prime Minister since the Second World War. We have had eight of them since then, so there is a long history of this type not being able to become Prime Minister. But since the Second World War, there has always been somebody around who was more practical than they were.
So that is the leadership issue that Theresa May has to deal with. It is not that she is incapable of doing it, but that she would rather do something else. And that is one thing that she has in common with her predecessor, David Cameron who was another ISTJ. He was not necessarily a very popular Prime Minister, but he did a fine job.
