Willy's early life
Willy's childhood was rough. He grew up in a small village in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro. His mother took him to a therapist when he was 4 years old, because of his poor behavior that he exhibited. The therapist diagnosed him with autism, but after a few years of therapy, his mother decided that she had been misdiagnosed and that it was a lack of affection on her part that caused his behavior. She turned to a life of drugs and prostitution, which made Willy feel abandoned. At 12 years old he was living on the streets of Rio alone, begging on the streets.
One day, a police officer on horseback spotted Willy and asked him if he wanted to be adopted. Willy accepted and was placed in an orphanage. In the orphanage Willy was highly intelligent, highly creative and highly emotional. He used what little money he had to have a tattoo artist tattoo the word "gay" on his face as a way of shouting from the rooftops that he was gay. He had his first boyfriend at 13 years old.
