What is the personality type of Ōtomo Sorin? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Ōtomo Sorin from Sengoku Basara and what is the personality traits.
Ōtomo Sorin personality type is ENFP, the most common personality type in Japan, and one of the most common in the world.
ENFP
The ENFP personality type is one of the most common in Japan, with a population of about 7% (according to the Keirsey Temperament Sorter, which classifies people according to MBTI type). As is the case for many MBTI types in Japan, there are some who self-identify as INFJ, but the more common “Japanese” ENFP is the one you’ll find here.
I have often heard ENFPs say that they have difficulty describing their Myers Briggs type because, as they say, “Japanese is just ‘ENFP’.” As a result, it is not uncommon for ENFPs to be classified as ENTP or INFP by Westerners.
An ENFP is a person who is often a natural leader. They are creative, optimistic and free-thinking. They are often the life of the party, whether it’s for work or play. They can be great at expressing their ideas to others and can be very persuasive.
Ōtomo Sōrin, also known as Fujiwara no Yoshishige and Ōtomo Yoshishige, was a Japanese feudal lord of the Ōtomo clan, one of the few to have converted to Roman Catholicism. The eldest son of Ōtomo Yoshiaki, he inherited the Funai Domain, on Kyūshū, Japan's southernmost main island, from his father. He is perhaps most significant for having appealed to Toyotomi Hideyoshi to intervene in Kyūshū against the Shimazu clan, thus spurring Hideyoshi's Kyūshū Campaign of 1587.
