Alfred Hitchcock personality type is ESTP, but I’ve come to the conclusion that most of the time you’re an ESTP with certain aspects of ISTP.
I’ve always found it interesting that people who are made fun of often go on to become incredibly successful, whereas those who are bullied do not seem to go on to great things in life.
For example, I’ve seen my uncle who was an ESTP bully my aunt who was an ISTP. He was always in trouble in school and never had many friends. As an adult my aunt has an amazing career and is very popular, but my uncle is completely miserable.
I don’t know why, but I guess in my case I just don’t give in. I’ve made my peace with the fact that I’m an ESTP with some traits of ISTP. I can get frustrated when people who are ESTP-ISTP don’t understand ESTP-ISTP people at all, but I try to remind myself that if someone is an ESTP with some traits of ISTP, they might make a good friend for me at some point.
