Jülide Aydın is the daughter of the famous Turkish journalist Cengiz Aydın, who died in 2003. She has two sisters, İpek Aydın, who is an author and journalist, and Ayşe Aydın, who is an actress. Jülide Aydın went to the French Lycée Français de TRNC in Nicosia where she graduated from high school in 1983. She started to work as a journalist at the newspaper Yeni Şafak in 1983. She worked there for five years and then transferred to the newspaper "Sabah", where she worked for two years. In 1989, she became the founding editor for "Sabah", the first female editor of the newspaper. She served in that position until 1991. She was later the national news editor for Sabah. In 1998, Jülide Aydın started her own newspaper "Sabah".
