Being a priest is a role I aspire to, but this is not the path I'll take. Perhaps a chaplaincy or some other job where I can help people in their time of need would be the way to go. I get the impression that's what I want to do with my life, but that's another matter entirely.
I think this is about as clear as it gets for me. The only big question is whether it's a good idea for me to go to college or not. I'm willing to go to college a hundred times over if it means I have the promise of a job when I get out. But if I'm as impersonal as my uncle, maybe that's not worth it.
I'm really tired of life being hard. I don't think I can handle it if it's going to be hard every day. If it's going to be hard every year, I'm going to go crazy.
So, here's my choice:
Do I go to college for a few years and then get a job, or do I get a job straight out of high school?
