A livewire like his dad, Jason is a natural-born showman with a quick wit, a gift for gab and a talent for getting people to laugh.
He recalled watching his dad's act from the time he was old enough to understand what it was.
"I remember when he was on 'The Tonight Show,' and I'd go to bed and watch it, because I thought it was so cool that he had his own show," he said.
"I'd have my dad's toys and my dad's posters on my wall, and I'd have his blue blazer and his cap and his scarf."
But Jason said it wasn't until he was in high school that he started to realize what kind of person his father was.
"I think when I was in high school, I realized that every time I saw him, he was taking care of other people," Jason said. "He was always doing something for someone else."
Jason said he's still working on his dad's legacy of making people happy.
