Nea D. Campbell (The Fourteenth) personality type is ISTP, and to me ISTP stands for "Impersonal Sensing Type" - very similar to Ing. I really like ISTPs in general and I'll be writing more about them soon.
The type that people are most likely to tell you they are is INTJ. If you're an introvert, you believe in the inferior function of your dominant function as a means of rationalizing your behavior. The introverts are not really introverted and the extroverts are not really extroverted, because it's not about the function itself. It's about the interaction between the functions. Introverts are perceptive, extraverted thinking people and extroverts are perceiving, thinking people.
There is another reason why people are more likely to say that they are extraverted rather than introverted, though, and it has to do with the way our society is structured. Our society is based on extroversion. It's based on being outgoing and greeting everybody who meets you and being engaged in the social world. So, depending on how you were raised, what kind of an upbringing you had, this will be either strongly tied to your temperament or not tied to your temperament at all.
