The INFP is described as the “idealist” personality type because they are most comfortable with ideas and feelings, rather than facts and objects. They are creative, analytical, artistic, and subjective in their approach to life, and they find it difficult to express themselves in an impersonal manner. They have a deep understanding of human nature, and are therefore able to see things as they really are. The INFP personality has an ability to see the whole picture of life and can be very insightful. They are also good at reading people and can sometimes see things that others may be blind to. However, they are often misunderstood because they are not always interested in practical matters, and sometimes they can be impractical with their ideas. They tend to be idealistic and would prefer to live a simple life. They are usually very sensitive and introverted, idealizing people and situations, and people often get the wrong impression of them at first. They tend to be very sympathetic individuals, and often feel sorry for people who are less fortunate than them. Without realizing it, many people will take advantage of their kindness and generosity.
