Sakura is neither abusive nor neglectful. I think it's much more likely that she is just an emotional wreck.
I think you're being overly dramatic. The fact that she cradles Sasuke when he's sleeping suggests that she cares for him. He's not a demon demon dog or something. And I think she does want to protect him, but he doesn't deserve to be protected at the moment.
Sakura does seem to have a bit of a soft spot for Sasuke. But at the same time, she's shown to be quite capable of making tough decisions that are in her best interests.
I don't think Sakura is that bad, but she does tend to get jealous, and I can see how that could lead to her acting rashly. She has also been the victim of some horrible things in her past, and she is obviously struggling with the dark feelings of guilt and grief that come along with it.
I agree. It is possible for her to be jealous of Sakura, the attention Naruto gets, the attention Tenten gets, etc..
