India personality type is ESFJ, not ISFJ.
The data for this study is based on a nationally representative sample of almost 20,000 adults (18 and older) in the United States who answered a comprehensive set of validated Myers-Briggs® Personality Indicator (MBTI®) and Sheldon-Kellogg® Personality Inventory (SKPI) assessment questionnaires. These data were used to create a new scale that can classify "Indian" as one of 16 possible personality types, as well as to determine the actual percentage of Indians that belong to each of those 16 types.
What is the new scale?
The new scale, called the Indian Personality Type Scale (IPTS), is a way for people to understand the cultural and genetic influences on their personality. It combines a comprehensive set of validated MBTI® and SKPI questionnaires with a new Indian cultural and genetic factor derived from the work of Professor A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. This combination of data creates a new Indian personality type scale that will enable researchers, clinicians, and the general public to understand the cultural and genetic influences on personality, as well as how those influences impact Indian cultures and Indian American individuals.
