Bethany Jane personality type is INFP, and sadly, I'm an ENFP.
I have written a few things on the topic of acceptance; the main one being the "I accept myself" mantra that I have stuck to my whole life. Accepting yourself is a great idea, but it can also be an extremely damaging one. It can lead to a lot of insecurities, and a lot of unnecessary unhappiness.
You see, I believe that you should accept yourself, but you should also accept the fact that you will be changing constantly throughout your life. You will be improving and getting better, and you will have bad days and good days. However, on the scale of things, you should always accept yourself as the best you can ever be.
If there is one thing I have learned from the past few years of life, it's that I am not perfect. I'm not even very good at being perfect. I'm good enough, but I never really feel good about it. I put myself down for no reason, and I find myself doubting my abilities more often than not.
I've always had some sort of issue with believing that I am good enough.
