    ENTP

    ENTP (7w8)

Jacques Paganel personality type is ENFP, as we saw in the last chapter. He was a youthful, spontaneous, impulsive adventurer who had many friends and associates but no dependable friends. He was eager to help others, but he did not want to be tied down by any obligations to them. He was usually a lively, fun-loving individual, but he also had a deep streak of melancholy. Some people were afraid of him because of his impulsiveness and the intensity of his emotions.

One of the most important lessons that Jacques learned from the many adventures he experienced was the value of being practical and realistic. While being an INFP, Jacques had many ideas that were impractical, although very interesting. He explored far-flung places without any knowledge of how to get back home, as his navigation skills were not very good. On several occasions he got lost in the wild and died of hunger and exposure. He also did not have very good survival skills.

After his experiences, Paganel became the polar explorer that he is today. He was one of the first to study the geography of Antarctica and navigate in the polar regions. He was also the first to sail around the world ever again, after having been shipwrecked on several occasions.
