Thordan was originally known as Thalassa, and he was the third son of King Tharam and Queen Alarielle. He was born at the peak of the War of Vengeance, and so was not present during the original battle between the humans of Ulthuan and the High Elves of Nagarythe. He was a powerful sorcerer who had developed his own spell-casting system, which he called the "Thordan's Magic". He claimed to have invented many spells that were unique to him that no other sorcerer had ever discovered before.
