Ichiro Dazai personality type is ENFP, also known as "The Chameleon". He is a man of few words, but a great storyteller.
Ichiro Dazai was born in 1914 in Tokyo into a wealthy family, the son of a respected civil servant. He was the second son in a family of four. His father died when he was young and he was sent to the best private school in Japan, the Gakushuin school in Tokyo. He had an outstanding academic record and by the time he was 10 he was fluent in English, French, German and Latin. He was described as intelligent, mischievous and always looking for adventure, but also as shy, sensitive and fragile. After high school he studied electrical engineering at Waseda University, but he quit after a year and joined the army in 1940. In 1941 he was sent to Manchuria where he was shot and wounded by Chinese soldiers. He spent three years in hospital recuperating before returning to Japan.
He married his cousin, Shinobu Dazai, in 1945, and had a son in 1946. Dazai began writing at this time and continued to do so until his death in 1960.
