Tao Isonokami is first introduced as a character in Geneshaft, and is the leader of the team. He uses his vast knowledge of plants and herbs to heal the wounded and mend their injuries. He is also very knowledgeable on human anatomy and can easily cure those who have suffered a gunshot wound or a stab wound. Tao's love for medicine is shown in his reaction to a knife stabbed into his chest. He remarks that it was only a small knife and that he would survive. In addition to being a medic, Tao is shown to be able to use quite a few weapons as well, which is shown when he uses his newly received knife to fight off a group of assassins. He is also shown to be able to use his knife as leverage to smash his enemies' heads in. Tao's moral code is very strict, and follows the rules of the Kamijou Residence; he will not forgive those who break the rules and will not hesitate to kill them if they do. Tao has a very strict personality, as shown when he attempts to kill an assassin even after all warnings were given.
