Young's mother, Mechelle Young, has been trying to put her son in a place where he feels comfortable and happy. She took him out of high school in December and moved him to an apartment in Los Angeles, where she also lives.
"It's been kind of a struggle," Mechelle Young said. "One of the challenges is that he's so young. He's so good at being so positive all the time. You can tell he's struggled at times, but he doesn't want to let on. He's trying to find out who he is."
Young said he wasn't ready to talk about his future, but his mom said it's important for him to know that his family will stand by him through whatever he decides to do.
